Can I cancel or reschedule my ticket?

Yes, tickets can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before your visit. Please contact us via email hello@baileyhills.co.uk to make any changes. We cannot however offer refunds or changes within 48 hours of your booking.

Can I just pop along to the vineyard without a ticket?

Yes, we welcome customers to swing by our cellar door between our opening hours. You'll be welcome to have a little taste of our wine, book a tour for a future date and / or make any purchases on site. If there happen to be any special events taking place during your visit, we may ask you to pop along another time.

Will the vineyard tours or events be cancelled in poor weather conditions?

The vineyard tours will proceed regardless of the weather. They will only be cancelled if severe weather poses risks or dangers. Please dress appropriately for outdoor conditions if you are joining a vineyard tour.

Children & Animals

Are children welcome at the vineyard?

Yes, children are welcome to join you on your visit to the vineyard. However, please note that the experience is primarily designed for adults, particularly during tastings and tours. We do organise family-friendly events throughout the year where we focus on entire family enjoyment. We kindly ask that children are supervised at all times.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in our outdoor areas. They are not permitted in the winery or visitors centre. Please ensure you clean up after your dog and ensure it does not affect other guests' visits.

Can I bring my horse?

No, hooves and grapevines don't always mix well, and we'd rather your noble steed stays happily nibbling grass than accidentally stomping on next year's vintage.

Food & Drink

Collapsible content

What food is available at the vineyard?

Cheese & charcuterie boards are available to purchase, supplied by our local friends at The Cheese Plate in Buntingford. If a special event ticket is purchased, full details of what food is available will be available upon ticket purchase.

Can I bring my own food?

To ensure the best experience for all guests and to support our local food partners, we kindly ask that you do not bring your own food & drinks to the vineyard.

Do you cater for any dietary requirements?

Currently only light bites are available at Bailey Hills and therefore food options are limited. Vegetarian & gluten free options are available. If a member of your group has a specific dietary need, please let us know in advance by emailing hello@baileyhills.co.uk and we will do our best to cater.

General

Can I drive after wine-tasting?

We always encourage responsible drinking. If you are planning to drive, we recommend using our spittoons during tastings. Even small amounts of alcohol can affect your ability to drive safely, so please know your limits and plan ahead.
A number of taxi services are available in the local area and a member of staff will happily help book on your behalf during your visit.

Is the site wheelchair friendly?

Most areas of the vineyard are wheelchair accessible, including the winery & visitors centre. Some outdoor areas may not be suitable for wheelchair users due to uneven terrain. If you have any specific requirements, please get in touch before your visit and we will do our best to accommodate.

What clothing should I wear?

Comfy shoes are a must. We love heels too, but they don't mix well with gravel paths and vineyard rows (unless you fancy an unexpected grape-stomping session).
In all honesty, there's no dress code, unless you're planning on wearing a full grape costume... which we will fully support!

How long does a vineyard tour last?

A vineyard tasting tour lasts up to 90 minutes. It consists of a guided stroll among the vines, a tour of the winery and a tasting flight.
Once the tasting tour is finished, you are very welcome to stay longer to enjoy our wines.
